      Ignite

      Name: Ignite

      Class: Fire Mage

      What it should be doing: When you score a critical hit from a Direct Damage spell you apply a dot, dealing 40%(affected by mastery!) damage over the course of 4 seconds, the damage being split in half and ticking every two seconds.

      What it's currently doing: It's doing too low damage, allow me to explain and give an example:
      http://puu.sh/qAT9P/1ed223ec4e.jpg Here are my stats, as you can see I have 25% mastery, this means my Ignite should be doing (40%*1.25) of my initial crits damage over 4 seconds.

      The Fireball in my example hits for 38495, this means it would be doing 0.40*38495 = 15.398*1.25 = 19.247/2 damage, however on here it instead did:

      9996 Ignite tick, doing 0.75*9996 to take away the mastery results in 7497 equals to 19.5%, which is pretty close to half the intended damage.

      support. legendary bug from years ago...not even blizzard dev could solve this case i think...its too difficult

      The bug on retail was with ignite munching mechanic, not the ignite itself.

      What exactly do you mean? The talent itself states that it is supposed to do 40% damage over 4 seconds, and if you test it in-game you can already see that it IS CURRENTLY BEING AFFECTED BY MASTERY, so there's no need for any kind of confirmation via retail sources.

      If any other player can help in a similar way with any other class spell that is not quite balanced, in invite him to make a proper bug report. It's not simple fot staff members to take care of all problems, so any help is welcome. Think about it, it improves the gaming experience for you and the rest of the players.

      Few things to keep in mind if this will happen: make sure the footage is from retail from 4.3.4, and that both items of the target(dumy) and the caster are seen.

      You dont necessarily have to conduct and present the test yourself, finding the footage should be enaugh - since we have to test it ourselves again before modding anything.
