Disc Priest PvP guide " WOW MORTAL "

      Emiskilla

Before we begin, I would like to point out that I am by far NOT the best Discipline Priest and I'm sure there are plenty out there that would agree, however; I have enough experience and practice with this talent spec that I believe I have enough knowledge and experience to share what I know to those who want to either create a discipline priest or those who would like to know more about the spec in general. Alright cool thanks guys! Have a blessed day! Lets get started!
      ---------------------------------------------------------1: Talent(s)
      2: Gear (Gems/Reforges/Enchantments)
      3: Glyphs
      4: Macros
      5: Arena Compositions
      6: Tips and Tricks
      7: Counters
      ---------------------------------------------------------

      1: Talents
      ---------------------------------------------------------
      Firstly Haste: http://goo.gl/gqRcfD
Explanation: This spec focuses purely on the haste factor of discipline priest, while you gain a bonus 14% Spell haste per Power Word: Shield, You also gain base haste from darkness (2%) Which leaves normal flash heal cast time at 1.43 rather than 1.5
Secondly Surge of Light or Flash Heal Spec: http://goo.gl/oN7byC
Explanation: This spec focuses purely on the amount of times you cast Flash Heals, though you should not make it a priority to cast Flash heal and nothing else, the proc chance of this talent is only 6% But sometimes the proc can save your life and so I believe it to be viable.
Lastly Sustain or Shadowfiend Spec: http://goo.gl/QaHEcr
Explanation: This spec focuses purely on the amount of sustain you have as a Discipline Priest, newer players to this spec may want to take these talents over the other two as it focuses on Shadowfiend which is one of our major ways of returning mana. More explanation of Shadowfiend will be presented below.
      2: Gear (Gems/Reforge/Enchantments)
      ---------------------------------------------------------
      GemsStarter Gear (Ruthless)

ReforgesFirstly, there is no defined stat priority for Discipline Priest, each reforge build is unique to the players play style, that being said Reforges can look like any of the Four ways displayed below.1: Mastery Reforge: 4% Hit Chance ~ Intellect ~ Resilience ~ Mastery ~ Haste ~ Critical ~ Spirit
      2: Haste Reforge: 4% Hit Chance ~ Intellect ~ Resilience ~ Haste ~ Critical ~ Mastery ~ Spirit
      3: Critical Reforge: 4% Hit Chance ~ Intellect ~ Resilience ~ Critical ~ Spirit ~ Haste ~ Mastery
      4: Spirit Reforge: 4% Hit Chance ~ Resilience ~ Spirit ~ Intellect ~ Mastery ~ Haste ~ Critical

There are plenty more macros, however these are the more vital of macros.5: Arena Compositions (2v2 and 3v3)
      ---------------------------------------------------------
2v2Warrior x Disc (Make sure to let your warrior know if you are in trouble and your positioning)
Feral x Disc (Really easy team, nothing much to say other than be ready for hard swaps)
Rogue x Disc (Almost like Feral except without the amount of peels, call out if you need help)
Mage x Disc (Rogue+Feral damage and peels into one, great comp though Mage is squishy and requires more communication then the other two comps.
Hunter x Disc (Only works if hunter is geared and expect long games)
Enchantment x Disc (Barely works, don't play this unless you have a friend that begs you to.. djkhuna?!)
Death Knight x Disc (Works well if your DK doesn't tunnel, remember to kite away from DK so Grip has more impact ~ Don't do this if your under a lot of pressure obviously)
      3v3
      Warrior x Hunter x Disc
(Rather easy team, just don't fear after warrior, Hunter is main target in most situations)
Mage x Rogue x Disc (RMP, Classic team that works from the very beging to the end really easy just dont get cocky)
Feral x Hunter x Disc (Try not to fear while Feral is attempting to clone, Feral is the main target in most situations)
Rogue x Hunter x Disc (Works like Feral only with a bomb, Keep Rogue out of Crowd Control, Rogue is target here)
Feral x Rogue x Disc (One of the more challenging comps, Try to keep excelent postioning and make sure Rogue is priority over Feral)
Paladin x Death Knight x Disc (Vanguards is really easy, just call out for help and Bops, Paladin is target here)
Enchantment x Paladin x Disc (Rarely works but it does a lot of damage just lacks a lot of control so play the part)
Warlock x Mage x Disc (Rather hard with a disc since your all cloth but it can work depending on how well Mage and priest play throughout the game)
Warrior x Paladin x Disc (Paladin is target here, Call out for peels from Warrior let Paladins do what they do best)
      6: Tips and Tricks
      ---------------------------------------------------------
Honestly a lot of what high rated Discipline priests do comes from a lot of practice and a lot of trial and errors, in time you will be able to notice when a hunter is going to Scatter Shot or a Rogue is going to blind, in the mean time try not to over stimulate yourself and focus on doing what matters, keeping you and your team-mate alive and a lot of it works purely on the priest, you have a lot of answers for a lot of situation all at once, even if you make a minor mistake do not give up and don't stop trying, even if your at 10% and in a full kidney use anything possible because priests have an amazing recovery chance even after near death experiences. Leap of Faith Tips:
Vs Smoke Bombs: If rogue is using all their cool downs on your partner then their next move after stunning is going to be Bomb, be quick with your reactions and as soon as you spot cheap shot grip your partner 7/10 times your going to catch bomb
Use Leap of Faith if your going to swap targets, example is have your partner go control an enemy and then pull them back to reduce the time it takes for your partner to get from enemy A to enemy BInner focus + Fear Ward
If your going to push for a fear vs an enemy disc, the best way to do it is using fear ward on yourself and casting Inner focus which makes beneficial spells on you undispelable which allows you a guaranteed 3 sec of no counter play
      Hymn of Hope + Shadowfiend
It may seem like a waste to use both of our major mana returns at once, however using these two combined can return about 45% of your maximum mana back, which is huge in arena, almost the amount you can get in a drink span.
      7: Counters
      ---------------------------------------------------------
      1: Warrior ~ Challenge Rating: 10/10
Explanation and How to deal with: Warrior is the hardest counter for Discipline Priest, they do a giant amount of sustain damage and large burst with a moderate amount of control, The best way to handle warriors is keeping Power Word: Shield up at all times, Renew, Prayer of mending off Cool Down, a lot of fake casts, Careful timing of defensive, for example their throw down comes off cool down before our Pain Suppression so use Pain Suppression for the first one and save Desperate Prayer and on the second throw down use DP and always keep Fear Ward active on yourself.
      2: Rogue ~ Challenge Rating: 8/10
Explanation and How to deal with: Rogue is the second hardest counter for Discipline Priest, they have a lot of control and a lot of ways to escape our crowd control, however they have longer cool down then warriors do and they have the chance to DR, try to MD around you to instantly get yourself in combat rejecting their sap, don't bubble if your not in combat or they will just wait it off, don't use defensive on opener, you will desperately need them later, usually rogues will blind or gouge after they open and have you moderatly low so have SWD ready, Fear when they Dance and you should be off for a few moments.
      3: Death Knight ~ Challenge Rating: 7/10
Explanation and How to deal with: Death Knights are the envoy of casters, regardless if your in plate or cloth they are going to be really annoying and really hard to deal with, as a Priest we have it off the worst seeing as how we're cloth but were not completely defenseless as well, we have a lot of control when it comes to their pets via Shackle Undead, so through our fears and control of their pets we are able to sustain for quiet a bit of time against Death Knights, Save Inner focus till after Grip so they can't strangulate or interrupt your casts, be sure to Shackle the Death Knight if they Lich bane your fear.

@Ember, Trikki if you came here to provocate him cause' he copied it from the other website then you're in the wrong place, if you want to leave a command "good/bad guide" do so.

OT: Good guide even thought it's copied I get your point that you just want to help out the others.
